The beavers at 1st Woodley were asked what are beavers all about 'Having Fun, Making things, Making lots of noise, Playing games, Learning how to do new things such as cooking and making lots of mess without being told off and it is exciting ! ' Beavers are the youngest section of the group they can join 3 Months before there 6th birthday and stay until they go up to Cubs at 8 years
Before they are invested the parent needs to buy a Turquise Beaver
sweater (£10) from the Scout Shop
They can be invested on the 4th week of attending and get a red necker,
membership, county, & district Badges which are given by the group and
this is also when they start paying subscriptions.
The
new Beaver doesn't have to do anything on there own when a child is
invested the Colony say the Beaver Promise together which is,
I
Promise to do my best to be kind & helpful and to love God
We
also hold the Waiting List so that Parents can put there childs name on
